Little Reminders Around the House for Kids

Some days, it feels like there’s so much we want to teach our children. To be kind. To be confident. To have good friends. To be able to set boundaries… the list goes on and on, and it can feel very overwhelming.

So what I like to do is leave little reminders around the house, especially when I notice they’re struggling with something or having a hard time opening up. Yes… a little sneak attack 😊

I place these reminders where they can see them: on the fridge, on doors, on mirrors, and more.

To be honest, these reminders work just as well for me too (maybe even more some days).

Sometimes that opens the door to conversations, and sometimes it doesn’t. But I trust that kids are always paying attention, even when we don’t think so.

Having these reminders in the house gives them tools and ideas they can come back to if they need them, just like the books we read.

A few days ago, I made a sweet poster about what a happy heart can look like, and I thought it would be nice to share it with you here. It comes in three different colors, and you can find it in both English and Spanish.

If it feels right for your home, you’re welcome to download it and place it somewhere special. Maybe somewhere your kids will “accidentally” see it 😉

If you decide to use it, feel free to send me a picture or leave me a note. I’d also love to know if you use little reminders at home or if you have other ways of supporting your kids.

Thank you so much for reading. I hope this brings a small, happy moment into your home.

Until soon,
Mónica
